Nadia Marquard Otzen grew up in Denmark with music and art all around her as the daughter of a music editor and an editorial cartoonist. At 19 she was accepted at Central St. Martins. With an interest in people and telling stories she moved from drawing onto photography and then filmmaking. Mentored by the legendary commercials director Chris Palmer, she has been part of creating and shooting numerous award-winning commercials over several years before moving into directing herself. In 2010 she debuted with the experimental film album 'Black Summer' and has continued to direct videos for the likes of Naughty Boy ft Emeli Sandé, Niki & The Dove and Maverick Sabre.
